Who changed the phone number on Joseph's Capital One credit card account? What was the new phone number (coming in another post) and why was Joseph's account still open six months after his disappearance? Who was using his credit card, for what, and why wasn't Capital One informed of Joseph's disappearance?
I talked to Capital One. While they would not reveal specific account information for Joseph, they told me that the use of "someone else's credit card is felony identity theft that they actively prosecute." They told me that, by policy, they should have been informed of Joseph's disappearance within 30 days and a hold would have been placed on his account. They told me that it was a "crime for someone else to use Joseph's credit card without his knowledge."
Why was Capital One still not told of Joey's disappearance after six months? Was his final bill ever paid, or did Capital One close the account with a large balance (also coming in another post) for which Joseph was accountable?
A blog and book by Rick Baker about the Mysterious Disappearance of the McStay family on February 4, 2010. In the past three years, the author has spent countless hours investigating this mystery by following an extensive paper trail, interviewing friends and family and traveling to locations of possible sightings. "What you have said in the dark will be heard in the daylight, and what you have whispered in the ear in the inner rooms will be proclaimed from the roofs."

Here are two more questions- who was using Jory's email address after 6 months and how did you get this email if the police had taken over his accounts?
ReplyDeleteThis case just gets stranger by the day as new information comes out. Who's phone number was the card changed to?
ReplyDeleteIf LE thought/had evidence that one of the family members were killed, here is their perfect chance to tighten the screws.
ReplyDeletePull in the person(s) who were making these changes and leeching money out of the business account, scream at them that this is a posssible murder investigation, and this person is caught stealing their money, so they must've been involved!
If this person were MM, (assuming he was an accomplice after-the-fact and helped JM cover up SM's death) tell him you've found evidence of a dead body (cadaver dog or luminol)now he's stealing money, he's already delayed reporting his brother missing, took his computer, ran his business into the ground--GUILTY! Kiss your kids bye-bye, Daddy's going to the big house. Then LE makes a deal with him--tell everything he knows and they won't charge him as accomplice after the fact. If not, they'll put him on trial.
Maybe I watch too many true-crime programs, but this seems to be what happens when a suspect or person of interest is found to be guilty of something else.
It seems more likely to me, if there were a murder (and I don't think there was), it would be by SM. She seemed to be angry that day (trying to purchase home remedy ANGER)and the emails showed how volatile her temper was. But, her family was HER WHOLE WORLD. And I mean Joey and the kids. She had no use for her bio family and certainly didn't care for JM's family. She gave birth at home, worked at home, and was planning to home-school the kids. This is why I think she wouldn't kill Joey. He was important to her.
And the only way I think Joey might kill her is in self-defense. Maybe she attacked him in a rage & he accidentally killed her. Agree with the therapist who said it could have been done by strangulation, hence, no clear evidence of foul play.
But then, why the computer search for childrens passports for travel to Mexico right before they go missing? Pre-meditation? I don't think so.
So many puzzle pieces that don't fit!

Will Capital One be pressing charges against the person who was using the account? Was someone responsible for a large balance on the account after Joey disappeared?
ReplyDeleteI still think Dan Kavanaugh, who had the capability of "hacking" into anything, and who was taking money from Joseph's account before he was even reported missing, is behind all this. The guy had been making threats towards Joseph and has an extremely bad reputation. I've thought recently that the email Joseph wrote to Paul (at the company who hosted Joseph's EIP) may have come back to bite DK in the butt, and he went into a rage and hired someone to kill the family. Like Joseph indicated, whether the guy had $3k a month or $9000, it was history. He seems like a guy with absolutely no conscience, not incapable of murder. The funds he was withdrawing within days of the family going missing were likely to pay the hit men.
