Why Was There No Dr. Phil Show?

I just got off the phone with Sam Bartolone, one of the producers of the Dr. Phil Show.

You will remember that last month I accepted their invitation to be on the show with Mike McStay. As you are aware, Dr. Phil's show is 'Conflict Television' and therefore needs to have two people with differing opinions (conflict) about any given subject. Mike and I are perfect for that!

Well, Mike declined Dr. Phil's invitation. At least we think he declined, because he never bothered to return any of Sam's numerous phone calls or emails, it appears that is his answer. This is strange to me because just a couple of months ago he posted on his Facebook page that he was in "talks with Dr. Phil to have him and the family on the program." But, now, for some reason, he has declined. Odd?

I really want this show to happen, not for me, but for Gianni and Joseph Mateo. We need to know that they are alright and this is getting ridiculous when their own blood won't do what is necessary help bring resolution to this case. Mike had his opportunity to face me in front of a national audience and he refused. What is he afraid of?

Anyway, after Mike said no go, I recommended that Sam invite Joseph's father, Patrick McStay to face me on the show. Sam is going forward with this invitation today and I certainly hope Mr. McStay will appear opposite me on The Dr. Phil Show.

  1. Hi Rick... I am sure you must of seen Mike's latest blog Jan. 18th, 2013 on his website,

    http://www.mcstayfamily.org/new

but did ya catch his last sentence? Mike writes.... "Hopefully the case will be resolved before the book comes out so we can have a happy ending." This is referring to "his" book he plans to write.

Now I have always felt he KNOWS something, and to write that, even cements my feelings more. Why would he say "happy ending" unless he knew it was going to be!!? (I think it was a freudian slip..so to speak) The case being resolved could be a very UNhappy ending!

  2. Rick,

You met Patrick. Why do you think he is so angry? I don't think he will do the Dr. Phil show with you. I don't think he is strong enough physically, mentally, emotionally just from the short conversations I've had with him. The only strength he has is to bully back.

Word of advice, be careful with these people you're dealing with, they will sell you out as fast as they sell out the McStays just for a story. Their agenda is different from yours.

  3. If Patrick isn't willing to go on the show, what about Summer's sister, Tracy. Any exposure is going to help solve this mystery for her and the family. Maybe some of the other people would also be willing to go on the show, such as Mcgyver, Dan Cavanaugh, Chase Merrit, Susan. It's been 3 years you would think everyone would want to do whatever possible to help. You are the only one posting a decent reward and staying actively involved with your website and you aren't even related, go figure, smh.
